French for Adults
AFPR is pleased offer a beginner’s French-language online courses for English speakers. Our summer session begins the week of May 25, 2020.
BASIC FRENCH – Level A1.1
32-hour course, 2-hour class twice a week
This standard course is designed for students looking for a more in-depth experience. To ensure effective progress, this class follows the educational guidelines established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

PRIVATE AND ADVANCED COURSES
English-speaking students with previous knowledge of French can sign up for private lessons. More advanced students can join our standard online courses, which are conducted only in French. Confirm your level of aptitude by taking our free online placement exam.

Spanish for Adults
Learn Spanish from native speakers from Puerto Rico in our new online courses! Our bilingual instructors will guide you step by step in feeling comfortable and at ease in Spanish in no time at all. Our summer class will begin the week of May 25, 2020.
SPANISH CONVERSATION FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS
This cconversation course is perfect for those with a basic command of Spanish.

How do online courses work?
Online courses are provided through the digital platform Apolearn and the video conferencing system Zoom*. All enrolled students receive an email with instructions and his/her student profile. Should this information not be received, our administrative staff and teachers are available to guide you through our online platform.
ONLINE COURSE FORMAT
In our online courses, the instructor shares class information, documents and other materials through the platform Apolearn. The live online portion of courses are offered via video conferences on Zoom, which may be accessed via web broswer or a free program available for download. Course materials are transmitted electronically.
HARDWARE AND DATA REQUIREMENTS
To participate comfortably in our online courses, we suggest that you have:
- A computer with a camera
- Headphone with an integrated microphone
- A reliable high-speed Internet connection
If you do not have all the ideal requirements but would still like to enroll, please contact us by phone or email. For instance, Zoom may be accessed by smartphone or tablet with a data connection, though some program features may not be entirely accessible.
